Je suis né et j’ai été éduqué en Irlande du Nord, et j’ai eu une caméra de cinéma ou SLR et dans mes mains dès mon plus jeune âge. Mon père m’a initié à la photographie et au sport automobile, deux passions que j’ai appréciées toute ma vie. J’ai besoin de comprendre mon sujet photographiques, qu’il soit fixe ou en mouvement afin que mon travail prenne vie. J’aime explorer différentes techniques, différents éclairages, styles dans un effort pour saisir quelque chose de différent, d’unique. Il y a encore tant à explorer, avec mon appareil photo ici en France!
I was born and educated in Northern Ireland, and have had a cine camera or and SLR in my hands from an early age. My father introduced me to photography and motor racing then
too, two passions I have enjoyed all my life. I need to understand my subject, moving or stationary, to make the resulting work come alive. I enjoy exploring different techniques, lighting, style in an effort to capture something different and unique. There is much more to do and to explore, with my camera here in France !

Je photographie à Angoulême, le Circuit des Remparts depuis 2002, et j’ai développé différentes façons d’utiliser l’appareil photo en jouant sur la vitesse, les couleurs, les textures afin de capturer l’atmosphère de cet événement unique. L’art est de bien comprendre le sujet, l’environnement, et ce que vous voulez atteindre. Mon appareil photo n’est pas seulement un véhicule, il est un outil, comme un crayon, un pinceau, utilisé pour créer une forme d’art en repoussant les limites.
Speedography
I have been photographing at Angouleme, the Circurts des Remparts since 2002, and I have been developing different ways of using the camera, to explore speed, colour, texure and to capture the atmosphere of this unique event. The art is to fully understand the subject, the surroundings, and what you want to achieve. My camera is not just a vehicle, it is a tool, like a pen, a brush, used to create an art form.
